Founded over a quarter of a century ago, Amouage is a niche luxury fragrance house that draws inspiration from its birthplace – the Sultanate of Oman, infusing reference points from a rich and colourful heritage that fires the imagination of all who come into contact with its wonderful products.
In April 2008 Amouage opened a new flagship store in Sabco Centre which has been designed to reflect a form of modern Omani chic; and this is where our tour started on 16 January. Our small group of WGO members, including Dinara, Nialla, Natalia, Shelagh and Gabriela, were greeted by Leila who offered us Omani coffee and dates before gathering us around one of the tables to smell the various perfumes for men and women that Amouage offer.
We were guided through the various perfumes including Honour, The Library Collection, Opus, Jubilation, Lyric, Epic, Memoir and Boutique. Each is very different and range from very soft and flowery to very strong; something for everyone. We were even given a few tips on how to store our perfume!
If you get a chance, may I suggest you visit the shop and have a look around, you will not be disappointed.
